Our Team

Paul started Real Estate Home Loans back in March 2000 after deciding there was a gap in the market for Mortgage Brokers that educated their clients and provided the knowledge that was needed to obtain your dream of home ownership. Paul’s downtime is spent at home on his ‘ranch’ where he rides his horses and runs his kids around town.

Paul Ballinger

Grant joined the Real Estate Home Loans team back in 2017 and hasn’t looked back. After spending over a decade working in IT and Sales, He decided it was time for a change and has found mortgage broking to be the perfect fit of customer service and problem solving. In his spare time, he enjoys downtime with his wife and 3 kids, mountain bike riding, and heading to the footy.

Ben founded Empower Wealth in 2007 after recognising a real need for better education and guidance around money and property decisions. With decades of experience in property investing and finance, he’s helped thousands of Australians plan with confidence and build long-term financial security. In December 2025, Real Estate Home Loans became part of the Empower Wealth group, bringing together a shared focus on education, strategy and long-term outcomes. When he’s not working, Ben enjoys spending time with his family and switching off outdoors.
